You just calculate the volume of the composite figure and multiply it by 1/4. Split the figures into two rectangular prisms and solve. Volume of the figure = (l1)(w1)(h1) + (l2)(w2)(h2)                                  = (3)(4)(11) + (3)(5)(4)                                  = (12)(11) + (15)(4)                                  = 132 + 60                                  = 192 Now multiply by 1/4. 192 * 1/4 = 48 Therefore the volume of the soil that Dupree will use is 48 feet³
