A run on sentence is when their are two complete sentences that are combined together into one sentence incorrectly. When you read a run on sentence, you might already figure out that it is incorrect. That is because punctuation is important.  Examples of run on sentence: I ate a lot of apples I love apples.  It includes two independent clauses that are combined into a sentence that has incorrect punctuation. The correct way to write it is: I ate a lot of apples, that is because I love apples.
